Led Effects has been accused by Philips of infringing its patents. LED effect is now a part of lightening science group publication. On Feb 19, 2008 Philips filed a suit in US district court for district of Massachusetts

against LSG, LED Holdings and led effects. The civil suit refers to in infringement of five patents by led effects. Led Effects in turn have filed a complaint on March 2008 in Sacramento California superior court against Philips. Both the led effects and must sort out their differences as soon as possible.
